1. DEFINITIONS

1.1 General Terms

  • Insurance activity – offering, negotiating, concluding insurance contracts, collecting premiums, settling claims, etc.

  • Insurer – a licensed legal entity authorized to sell insurance products.

  • Insured – the person in whose favor the contract is concluded.

  • Policyholder – the person who requests and pays for the insurance, not necessarily the insured.

  • Insured event – an event covered by the insurance contract.

  • Deductible – the portion of the claim borne by the insured, as stated in the contract.

  • Gross premium – the total calculated premium before any deductions.

  • Risk – a future and uncertain event that could affect assets or individuals.

1.2 RCA-Specific Terms

  • RCA – compulsory motor third-party liability insurance.

  • Green Card – international certificate valid outside the Republic of Moldova.

  • Total/partial damage – complete or partial destruction of the vehicle.

  • Claims file – all documents required to settle an insurance event.

  • Damaged party – the beneficiary of the compensation.

  • Bonus-Malus system – system adjusting premiums based on claim history.

1.3 Additional Terms

  • IP address – numeric identifier of the user's device.

  • Electronic communication channels – email, live chat, social networks, or messaging apps.

  • Electronic policy – policy issued and sent in digital format.

  • Online payment – secure card-based electronic transaction.

  • Website visitor – anyone accessing www.destine.md.

2. PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION POLICY

The processing of personal data is carried out in accordance with Law No. 133/2011, based on the user’s informed consent. In case of limited or no legal capacity, consent must be provided in writing by the legal representative.

Data may be used for:

  • Generating offers and insurance policies

  • Sending contractual or informative messages

  • Commercial communications (with prior consent)

Destine Asig respects all legal rights of data subjects: access, correction, deletion, opposition, portability, and information.

3. COOKIE POLICY

4. INSURANCE CONDITIONS

The insurer’s conditions are binding when explicitly referenced in the contract or attached to it. Insurance policies for medical travel coverage and RCA are issued under Law No. 414/2006.

For travel health policies issued electronically:

  • If the insured person is outside the Republic of Moldova at the time of purchase, coverage begins 72 hours after payment confirmation.

  • Payment must be completed electronically.

  • The policy is sent via email and optionally via other electronic channels.

  • The policyholder must confirm receipt and data accuracy via the same channel.

5. OBLIGATIONS OF THE PARTIES

5.1 Obligations of the Insurer:

  • Properly inform the insured of the terms and conditions

  • Pay compensation when due

  • Maintain confidentiality of the insured’s data

5.2 Obligations of the Insured:

  • Provide truthful and complete information

  • Pay the premium on time

  • Promptly notify the insurer of any insured event

  • Take measures to prevent or reduce losses

6. ONLINE QUOTE REQUEST AND PREMIUM CALCULATION

The request is made through an online form, with mandatory acceptance of the Terms and Conditions. The insurer may request additional information if necessary.

The premium is calculated using Destine Asig’s internal electronic systems, in accordance with approved tariffs.

7. CONCLUSION OF THE INSURANCE CONTRACT

The contract is considered concluded once the offer is accepted and payment is completed. The existence of the contract is proven by:

  • The issued policy document

  • Proof of payment

  • Confirmation sent via email

The insurance contract includes the application, policy, general terms and conditions, and any annexed contractual documents.

8. LANGUAGE OF THE CONTRACT

The contract is drafted in Romanian, the official language of the Republic of Moldova.

9. PAYMENT OF PREMIUM AND ONLINE PAYMENT CONDITIONS

The premium must be paid in full for the entire period of coverage. Online payments can be made through:

  • MAIBPAY module from Moldova Agroindbank

  • Providers such as QIWI-M SRL, BPAY SRL, MMPS COM SRL

  • VISA / MasterCard

The policyholder is responsible for retaining and submitting proof of payment when required.

10. OTHER COSTS

The policyholder incurs no additional fees other than the actual premium amount stated in the policy.

11. AMENDMENT, TERMINATION, AND NULLITY OF THE CONTRACT

Amendment:

Can be requested in writing via email or at the company’s offices.

Termination:

May occur:

  • Upon contract expiration

  • By mutual agreement

  • Upon death or liquidation of either party

  • In other legal cases

Termination due to breach:

Can be initiated with 30-day notice if one party fails to meet contractual obligations. The insurer retains premiums proportional to the elapsed coverage period, deducting administrative costs.

Nullity:

The contract is null and void if:

  • Concluded in violation of the law

  • Signed by unauthorized persons

  • Concluded after the occurrence of the insured event

A valid complaint must include the name, contact details, and a detailed description. Responses will be issued within 30 calendar days.

13. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Destine Asig reserves the right to amend these terms without prior notice. Updates will be published on www.destine.md, accompanied by notes indicating the reasons for change, including:

  • Launch of new insurance products

  • Changes in payment methods

  • Updates to insurance terms

  • Changes in applicable legislation

Continued use of the website implies acknowledgment and acceptance of these modifications.

14. PAYMENT AND RETURNS

1. Payment

  • Payment for products/services can be made by: bank card, bank transfer or other methods displayed on the site.

  • Payment is considered made when the transaction is confirmed by the banking system or payment processor.

  • Any additional fees or commissions will be displayed before the order is completed.

2. Order cancellation and product return

  • According to Law no. 105/2003, in accordance with Law no. 105 of 13.03.2003 on consumer protection, you have the right to request the return of the products or cancellation of the order within 14 days from receipt of the product.

  • Returned products must be in original condition, unused and in the original packaging.

3. Refund

  • The refund will be made within 14 days from receiving the returned product and checking its condition.

  • The refund will be made using the same payment method used for the purchase, unless otherwise agreed.
